Cadi11ac or Cad11ac

Cadillac image licensed under Creative Commons by dave_7

Cadi11ac / Cad11ac: The unfortunate (and rather tragic) combination of Chapter 11 Bankruptcy and GM's high-end, luxury vehicle division. Suggested pronunciation: cad-ih-eleven-ack or cad-eleven-ack.

References: No - we are not waiting with wicked glee for the bankruptcy of GM nor any of its divisions. This website is authored and edited by former Detroiters with relatives formerly employed (since retired) by GM. But (unlike the O-POD) we're fairly certain of the economic chaos that is sure to follow after this one. Actually, we're fairly depressed over it. Israel-Palestine

Israel-Palestine: If we are "ever" to have peace in the Middle East, it seems some parties will have to relent and give in to the suggested two-state system for a proposed unified Israel with Palestine. (1) The combined 2-state statehood of Israel and Palestine. (2) The bringing about of the (1) via the Pax Obama. (3) The metaphor for the unwanted (by the controlling state...) joining of two city-states, country-states or otherwise recognized boundaried national sovereign entities through mutual hate and disrepect brought about "diplomatically" by some more powerful sovereign entity (e.g. the US). (4) Another metaphor: the potential advantage seen by the state of Israel in defense against a hostile nuclear attack from an Arabic nation by joining with another Arabic state.

O-POD or I-POD or F-POD

O-POD / I-POD / F-POD: (1) Original President (US) of Diversity or Initial President of Diversity or First President of Diversity. (Barack Obama). (You probably saw this one coming if you read our previous post). Not a new acronym, but appears to be a new definition. Again, we wanted to avoid using the last acronym, because there might be those inclined to associate it with an unfortunate expletive. We hope not. We love him almost as much as Michelle Obama. (2) The middle acronym is an indirect reference to President Obama's love of his Blackberry and being a "techie or tekkie".

Which leads us to wonder, who will be the SPOD (Second President of Diversity)?

O-FLOD / I-FLOD / F-FLOD: Original- or Initial- or First-First Lady of Diversity. (Michelle Obama). Not a new acronym, but appears to be a new definition. We wanted to avoid using the last acronym due to the obvious opportunities to those to use an unfortunate expletive or two in the redefinition of the same. Of course, it could also be redefined to read: "First-First Lady of Divinity". Which we wouldn't want, because we have just fallen head over heels in love (no, no, not that kind of love...gee whiz...) with our First Lady as most people have.

Which leads to the next acronym, the S-FLOD: the Second First Lady of Diversity. Or will it be the F-FMOD: the First-First Man of Diversity? We wonder...
