A dictionary/glossary/lexicon as sort of a cosmic, meeting of the minds, collaboration of the likes of Dan Webster, Sam Johnson, Ambrose Bierce, Hunter S. Thompson, Wm. F. Buckley, Grouch Marx, W. C. Fields and many more... even though its editors are obscure unknowns with dreadfully dangerous senses of humor. Vanpoon

Vanpoon: The portmanteau of lampoon and Vanity Fair. Similar to kenpooning, but wider meaning. The rather ridiculous ridiculing and inadvertent lampooning of a magazine, editorial, book review or other written record. Reference: The pounding received by Vanity Fair on last night's Hardball with Chris Matthews regarding the Video discussion on the new Ted Kennedy Bio. (See the review of Ted Kennedy: The Dream that Never Died). Specifically in regards to the "question of the succession of Ted Kennedy"...see page 1, paragraph 8 and on).
