Dranker

Dranker: Banker + Drinker = Dranker. Bankers driven to drink by bad loans, bad times, bad news, bad image, defaults, toxic assets and other issues of the failed banking system. A new symbol for the complete and utter failure of the banking system as it has (d)evolved. Probably another reason not to maintain bonus payments to these once-proud folks as they might now be spending it on cheap vodka and not Dom Perignon. We have got to get these drinking bankers to stop the drink and get into Rehab! Our moral and financial recovery depends on it! Reference: U.S. rehab centers see bankers driven to drink.

Car Cloning: (Not one of our ours). A new form of theft/fraud/and/or Identity theft whereby the thief or thieves make off with an existing Vehicle Identification Number and use it on a stolen vehicle. Reference: FBI breaks up $25 million 'car cloning' ring.

Twake or Twaking

Twake: Fake + twitter = twake. Literally, to fake somebody else’s Twitter account (usually by an impostor using somebody else’s name, like a celebrity or some other notable). Example: As Keith Olbermann of MSNBC’s Countdown famously exposed last night (Friday, 3/20/2009) that he does NOT have a Twitter account, even though he has a following of some 13,000+ people (on Twitter). As Keith exposed, that is not an account set up by him, so you’re never really sure when somebody is “twaking” a twitter account.

Twittersential (or Twitter4): The next "big thing" for Twitter? Twitter4: Pandemics? Global melting? Global Crises and other catastrophes on the forefront? Is this the "real" usefulness or utility of Twitter - its ability to communicate these big problems before they happen? (Although it is too late to probably do anything about the Beddington Forecast. Bailoutrage

Bailoutrage: (Probably not a new word). Emotion experienced by most of us upon learning of excessive bonuses and payouts being made on a Sunday to AIG personnel after receiving government bailout monies. Reference: Obama Advisor Summers: AIG Bonus Bombshell 'Outrageous' .

We don't mean to get maudlin here, but some of us can't even receive an unemployment check (for various reasons, even though increases have been stipulated in the omnibus reform bill - and some of these increases are minor, like $ 25 per week), yet some (like those at AIG) are receiving millions. Again, we are feeling the bailoutrage.
