Twittersential or Twitter4

Twittersential (or Twitter4): The next "big thing" for Twitter? Twitter4: Pandemics? Global melting? Global Crises and other catastrophes on the forefront? Is this the "real" usefulness or utility of Twitter - its ability to communicate these big problems before they happen? (Although it is too late to probably do anything about the Beddington Forecast.
