The idea for this new term came from Chris Matthew's referring to the White House as 'the playpen' of the Bush Administration. If the Obamas were truly 'hip', wouldn't they refer to the White House as 'the White Crib', or just 'The Crib' (or wouldn't they...or did we miss that one...)?
(Note we almost died laughing at the Wikipedia page photo of the Obamas...they posed with somebody in an Easter Bunny costume...).
