Sucker Coup: We know this phrase/word is out there. We recall hearing the Louie DePalma character on the old TV show "Taxi" using it one time. Yet, we could not find it in the slang dictionary on line. We will attempt the definition herein. See the phrase in our posting: The Al Gore Sucker Coup.

"To overthrow one's apparent political rivals, parties, and so on by achievement of phenomenal success in one's arena of choice or skill/expertise by applying the force of the same to one's political advantage. In other words, to sucker the competition by the application of tremendous force, success, accomplishment and so on."
