Eco-crunch

Eco-crunch: Not our invention. But by the BBC, we believe (link here) and to other conversation and eco-groups (see the article). (1) Defined as a withdrawal of a society's resources by the same society or others without the intention of repaying the excess withdrawal. Not a funny term - a bit chilling. Perhaps, a new type of "eco-warfare". (2) Ironically, another form of the global credit crunch to be experienced at a future date when these resources are depleted, overused, and so on...
